Transactions on NHL Breakaway will be conducted via MoonPay, a registered payment processor used by over 15M people across some of the largest digital collectible marketplaces.
Below is a guided walkthrough of the purchase process on NHL Breakaway, to ensure that your purchase experience is as smooth as possible on the day of the drop.
Verify Your Email
Once the drop has started, make sure you are logged-in with the approved beta account, select the quantity you would like then click BUY NOW on the drop purchase page.
MoonPay will launch, and you will be asked to verify your email address. You will have 10 minutes to complete checkout before your pack(s) is released for another collector to purchase.
Note: In certain states like New York, Texas, and Louisiana, users will be prompted to checkout through payment processor Stripe.
Verify Your Identity
If this is your first time using MoonPay, you will be asked to verify your identity by entering your name, date of birth, billing address, and mobile phone. This helps keep NHL Breakaway safe and fair for fans and collectors, by limiting the ability for bad actors to purchase.
Verification for approved users is typically fast, around 60 seconds. If there are issues verifying your identity, you may be asked to provide additional information such as social security number (U.S. users only), photo ID, and take a selfie. As a reminder, this process only has to be completed one time per account and you will not be prompted to complete this step on future transactions.
Enter Payment Info
Once you are verified, enter your credit/debit card information and billing address. The transaction will process on the blockchain.
Purchase Success!
Your pack will now be viewable in your collection. Once you have your pack, you can break it open to reveal highlights, or hold the pack to exchange on the NHL Breakaway fan marketplace, launching later this year.
