NHL Breakaway 2026 Stanley Cup® Summer Social Quest Official Rules

Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. Eligibility

The 2026 Stanley Cup® Summer Social Quest (the “Program”) is open only to registered NHL Breakaway users who are in compliance with our Terms of Use and who have an X account. For legal residents of the fifty (50) United States of America (and the District of Columbia) and Canada, users must be eighteen (18) years of age or older, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, if greater than eighteen (18), at the time of participation. There is no cost to have an NHL Breakaway or an X account. Employees, officers, directors, representatives, and agents of SocialSweet Inc. d/b/a Sweet (“Sponsor”), the National Hockey League (“NHL”), the NHL’s member teams, NHL Enterprises, L.P., NHL Enterprises Canada, L.P., NHL Enterprises B.V., NHL Interactive CyberEnterprises, LLC (the foregoing NHL entities collectively, the “NHL Entities”), and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies, and promotion partners, and the immediate family members and household members of each such individual, are not eligible to participate. The Program is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, territorial, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.

2. Program Period

The Program begins on July 1, 2026 at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time and ends on September 7, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time (the “Program Period”).

3. How to Participate

To participate during the Program Period, an eligible participant must share one qualifying post on X for each of three (3) different designated NHL Breakaway social themes (any 3 of the 7 themes) consistent with the designated NHL Breakaway social themes described on the applicable NHL Breakaway blog, program page, or related promotional materials, and tag @NHLBreakaway in each post.

  • Each qualifying post must be posted on X during the Program Period and be consistent with one of the designated Program themes.

  • Each qualifying post must include the tag @NHLBreakaway and remain publicly viewable through the review and verification period.

  • Stories or other ephemeral posts do not count unless Sponsor expressly states otherwise in writing.

  • Posts must comply with these Official Rules and the applicable social media platform’s terms, policies, and community guidelines.

Participants who complete three (3) qualifying posts during the Program Period and satisfy all eligibility and verification requirements will receive one (1) Farewell to the Cup reward pack, while supplies last. Limit one (1) reward pack per person and per NHL Breakaway account during the Program Period.

4. Reward

The reward consists of one (1) Farewell to the Cup reward pack valued at $5.00 USD. No substitution, transfer, assignment, or cash redemption is permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a reward pack of equal or greater value if the advertised reward pack becomes unavailable for any reason.

5. Content Requirements and Restrictions

Each qualifying post made in connection with the Program must: (i) include the required photo or video content for the applicable Program theme; (ii) be the original work of the participant, or content for which the participant has all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions; and (iii) in the case of any written comment, be in English or French. Non-compliant posts will not be considered. Eligible qualifying posts must be consistent with the selected Program theme and may not: (a) include the name, image, likeness, or other identifying information of any person, living or dead, without permission; (b) be indecent, obscene, hateful, offensive, tortious, defamatory, or libelous; (c) violate, infringe, or misappropriate any third-party right, including any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other proprietary right; (d) improperly suggest, through the use of NHL Breakaway, Sweet, NHL, or NHL Club trademarks or otherwise, that Sponsor, the NHL, or any NHL Club endorses, sponsors, or is affiliated with any participant or third party; (e) disparage or demean Sponsor, the NHL Entities, or any employee, officer, director, owner, player, or other person or entity affiliated with the Program; (f) promote alcohol, drugs, tobacco, violence, firearms, or other weapons; (g) include personally-identifiable information other than the participant’s name and other information expressly requested in connection with the Program, including license plate numbers, email addresses, or street addresses; (h) contain unlawful material; or (i) consist of duplicate, spammy, misleading, or otherwise manipulative posting behavior. Any qualifying post that violates these restrictions, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will be void and will not be considered. By making a qualifying post, each participant represents that the participant has obtained all necessary permissions to feature any identifiable third parties and, if requested, must provide proof of such permissions in a form acceptable to Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to remove, reject, or disqualify any qualifying post that it finds unlawful or otherwise in violation of these Official Rules, all in its sole discretion.

6. Verification / Disqualification

Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility, identity, and compliance with these Official Rules. Sponsor may disqualify any participant or post that, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, does not comply with these Official Rules, attempts to tamper with the operation of the Program, uses multiple accounts, or otherwise acts in a disruptive, abusive, fraudulent, or unsportsmanlike manner. Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to the Program.

7. Conditions of Participation / Release

By participating in the Program, each participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules. Each participant also agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor, the NHL Entities, and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, service providers, licensors, agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or relating to participation in the Program or the acceptance, receipt, or use of any reward, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Platform Disclaimer

This Program is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with X. By participating, each participant understands that any information provided in connection with the Program is being provided to Sponsor and not to X.

9. Privacy

Any personal information collected in connection with the Program will be used for the administration of the Program and fulfillment of rewards, in accordance with applicable law and the applicable privacy policies of Sponsor and the NHL. For residents of Canada, personally-identifiable information submitted in connection with the Program will be collected, used, and disclosed only for the purposes of administering the Program, fulfilling rewards, as otherwise expressly consented to, or as required by law.
